Naphthalene-Based Superplasticizer (SNF or NSF) is a cost-effective, high-range water reducer widely used in concrete and cement mortar. As a second-generation concrete admixture, it is made from sodium naphthalene sulfonate formaldehyde condensate (SNF).
SNF improves the flowability of fresh concrete while reducing the amount of water required. This helps increase concrete strength, improve durability, and make placing and pumping easier. Because of its reliable performance and competitive price, naphthalene-based superplasticizers are widely used in ready-mix concrete, precast concrete, bridges, roads, tunnels, dams, and other construction projects around the world.

Water reduction rate | 15%~25% | 25%~40% |
Collapse resistance performance | Generally | Excellent |
Dosage | Higher | Lower |
Intensity growth | Good | Better |
Environmental friendliness | Ordinary | More environmentally friendly |
Please kindly note:Do not use sodium naphthalene sulfonate admixture with polycarboxylate superplasticizer. Erratic behaviors in slump, slump flow, and pumpability may be experienced. For directions on the proper evaluation of Superplasticizer SNF admixture in specific applications, contact us.
Storage Temperature: Sodium naphthalene sulfonate should be stored in 10℃-40℃ temperature environment, without direct sunshine, without getting wet in the rain and leaking water, without mixing impurities, without evaporation of water.
Shelf Life: SNF admixture has a minimum shelf life of 12 months. Depending on storage conditions, the shelf life may be greater than stated. Please contact us regarding suitability for use and dosage recommendations if the shelf life has been exceeded.
Why Choose Our Sodium Naphthalene Sulfonate
Stable and consistent quality: We strictly control raw material selection and the synthesis process. Our SNF batches vary minimally, ensuring stable downstream production without unexpected performance fluctuations.
Excellent dispersion and water reduction performance: It has a strong dispersing effect: it effectively breaks down particle agglomeration, reduces system viscosity, and improves fluidity. When used as a concrete water reducer, it can significantly reduce water usage, improve early strength, and enhance the workability of concrete mixtures.
Good compatibility: Our SNF mixes with most cements, concrete, other water-reducing agents, surfactants, and additives to meet customized formulation requirements for different application scenarios.
Reliable supply and flexible logistics: With stable production capacity, we guarantee timely delivery. We support flexible packaging options and arrange suitable transportation solutions for small trial orders and bulk shipments.
